July has been a busy month for us, we celebrated Kays birthday and had a great weekend of good food and family along with the beautiful British sunshine. We also managed to get a few days in Filey for both work and pleasure and of course had an ice cream by the beach, we also saw a real life pirate ship setting sail for the south of England, a very surreal experience!

This month we have chosen to feature this absolutely charming Italian Bronze Girl training her puppy by Italian sculptor Antonio Lanzirotti. The sculpture is a really beautiful subject with a young girl attempting to train her puppy holding a treat in one hand and pointing at the puppy with her other.
Our second highlight is this wonderful Japanese Satsuma Vase dating to the Meiji Period (1868-1912). It contains an extremely unusual central scene with a fisherman who has tripped and spilled his daily catch including octopus, lobsters and various fish, a really nice and good sized example signed by Hozan.
Our third highlight is this rare Art Deco Sterling Silver Centrepiece by British silversmith Robert Edgar Stone. The design beautifully handmade in 1938, likely a commission for a high profile individual. It takes great inspiration from designers such as Georg Jensen with its central floral column. An exceptional centrepiece to grace any collection.
