CADA at Compton Verney 2023
November 24th 2023
Hot off the press, we are back from the Cotswolds Antique Dealers Association Fair at the beautiful Compton Verney. This year’s antique fair ran from the 17th – the 19th of November, and after the success of the first fair we attended last year, we couldn’t turn it down, returning again. The fair was once again held within the beautiful walls of the historic Compton Verney Manor House between all the ground floor historic paintings. Jacksons Antique were positioned once again on stand 6 at the entrance of the Museum, Cafe and Antique Fair. As always the fair is a pleasure to set up logistically, it is a fantastic environment and extremely well organised. We got underway on opening day and were extremely pleased to see an influx of new clients coming through the door as well as many repeat clients; attendance was certainly up from last year, which was a huge positive in the current climate, so we can’t thank you all enough for coming and making purchases with us.

Along with the high-quality antiques exhibited by all the dealers, Compton Verney also has multiple exhibitions that are discounted to visitors attending the antique fair. The current guest exhibition was named ‘History in the Making: Stories of materials and makers, 2000BC to now’ which included a fabulous array of objects and furniture from the Woburn Abbey collection whilst the Abbey goes under restoration. The permanent exhibitions were also available, including Europe’s biggest Chinese collection of bronze ritual objects and vessels on display and the largest UK collection of Folk Art. For further information about Compton Verney, including current exhibitions and future exhibitions, please click here, and you will be redirected to the Compton Verney Website. For further information about any of the items on display on our stand, please contact us here.

We would like to thank you all again for attending the fair and purchasing from us at Jacksons Antique and we will see you all again next year!

Owner at Jacksons Antique
I am an antique dealer and owner of Jacksons Antique, specialising in fine antiques with a particular focus on Japanese art and European decorative objects. With over a decade of experience in the antiques trade, I source and curate pieces for collectors across the UK, the United States, and the international market.
Working primarily online alongside select exhibitions, I am part of a newer generation of dealers helping to modernise the way antiques are researched, presented, and acquired. My approach is built on careful attribution, transparent descriptions, and historically grounded research so clients can buy with confidence.
Through Jacksons Antique, I aim to make important historic objects accessible to both established collectors and those developing their collections.
