Summer Time

We made, it time to sit back relax and enjoy the British summer time. A month of holidays, family time and enjoyment as we approach the hight of the summer season. At Jacksons Antique we are enjoying the sunshine while travelling the country finding some beautiful new objects to add to our collection.

In the midst of the last few years turmoil and the uncertainty of fairs popping up and cancelling throughout the country, we decided to trail a ‘stable base’ and make the very best of the current climate. We have taken a space at Europes Biggest antique centre, Hemswell Cliff,  just north of the beautiful city of Lincoln. Our stand is showcased in the Guardroom and features a select mix of objects from our collection. Several of the objects are available exclusively at Hemswell and we are currently pleased with the progress taking sales every week since we started at the beginning of July. The footfall is fantastic and the centres are open 7 days a week nearly all year round.

We would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area as there truly is something for everyone. The Centre has several buildings filled with multiple stories of antique goodies. From antique English furniture to Jewellery and everything in-between there really is something for everyone and most importantly it caters all budget levels. It is a great day out and the centres also have a fully serviced cafe/restaurant which serves food throughout the day. You can find our stand in the Guardroom which is the first building as you enter the property on the left hand side. We are straight up the stairs, turn right and follow it to the end. Our space is located on the fire exit isle and has plenty of viewing space.

This week we are featuring this Bi-Metal Cigarette Case which was given to a gift to the late Prince Axel of Denmark. It features Silver and Gold alternating strips with an inscription to the inside reading “To Prince Axel from his very affectionate neighbour Helge” dated 01/05/1921
