Amongst the heat we also saw the demise of our current serving prime minister Boris Johnson and the immediate race to who will replace him going forward. Finally after an already busy month the country and in particular London had to contend with rail strikes that quite literally brought the UK transport sector to its knees. With such a busy month of adversity I was extremely happy to see Englands Lionesses lifting the European cup last night. Congratulations to what we can only describe as an incredible campaign, let the celebrations begin!
During the really intense heat I made a trip across to Holland in the search of some new objects to add to our collection. Its safe to say the mosquitos like the British taste as I seem to come back with more bites than stock and that’s a pretty impressive feat! I was lucky enough to make some really interesting purchases including a stunning Japanese Meiji period satsuma vase and multiple other pieces which are on the way so keep your eyes pealed! Also recently acquired we have a beautiful New Zealand Maori warrior topped walking cane circa 1880 available with a boldly carved chief to the finial, a silver gilt bon bon dishby the highly regarded William Comyns with Stourbridge crystal from 1904 and a very pretty Austrian tortoiseshell & mother of pearl 18ct gold mounted box with a scene looking out from the Doges palace in Venice, Italy.

I suspect my roommate stole my antique measuring scale.
He is not going to get a weigh with this.
