Our July 22′ newsletter paves the way into the great British summer. With Wimbledon underway, the Silverstone Grand Prix this weekend and the Commonwealth Games to look forward to, it’s fair to say it will be a great summer for British sport. On the topic of sport and being a keen rugby fan, I was thrilled to celebrate my local team, Leicester Tigers, beating Saracens 15-12 in a nail-biting premiership final for the first time in 10 years!
Outside of sport, we have been travelling up and down the country searching for new objects to add to our collections, and we are delighted with this month’s new purchases.
This month’s featured piece is an exceptional mechanical singing bird box by the world-famous Reuge company in Switzerland. It features simulated Lapis-Lazuli panels with a brightly coloured singing bird, to see the bird box in action please click
here. We have sourced a stunning and rare
Black Forest bear fruit bowl that features two bears surrounding it. We have also added more
Atmos clocks to our collection and updated our terms with the clocks. We are now offering a
3-year warranty on any Atmos clock purchased directly from Jacksons Antique, in addition to a full overhaul completed on all clocks we offer for sale.
In our
Oriental Antiques collection, we have an excellent
Chinese blue and white
porcelain vase on offer painted with the He-He Er Xian (two immortals/holy ones). They represent harmony and union and are often painted as a blessing for marriage.
We have also been lucky enough to purchase a full collection of Japanese cloisonne enamel vases, most of which are from the prestigious Ando company and feature striking flowers, bold colours, and silver rims. The vases all date from the Tashio period into the early years of the Showa period circa 1920s-1950s. Whether it be for a collection, for decorative purposes or a bold statement piece, we truly believe there are some
stunning vases available in the collection, and we are thrilled to be able to offer them for sale. We have reserved
