Jacksons Antique Newsletter November 2024

Dear friends,

We have returned from London after our first outing at the LAPADA Art and Antiques fair in Berkeley Square. For those who have joined the newsletter over the last week, we wish you a very warm welcome to our Jacksons Antique monthly newsletter.

Before we kick off with this month’s newsletter I would like to offer my personal thank you to each and every one of you who visited and made purchases from me. The fair was a great success right down to the organisation of the stand build through to all the clients who attended. It was lovely to catch up with clients old and new, and we will be seeing you all again when we are in London for the CADA fair in the old Chelsea town hall next spring.

Just before the fair kicked off Kay and I took the opportunity to head to our local farm shop for a spot of lunch and a wonder round the pumpkin field which is always a sea of orange. We are ticking off many memories being the last time it will be the two of us before our baby boy arrives in February.

Now onto business, this month we have some fabulous new items available including a superb piece of Japanese silver by the renowned firm Musashiya, modelled as a blooming Chrysanthemum with foliage stem and closed Chrysanthemum bud. The silver is signed Musashiya and stamped with the Japanese pure silver mark, Jungin. This is an exceptionally executed piece and a good size having the open bowl and individually applied petal chrysanthemum bud at the base.

Our second highlight this month is this rare example Jaeger-LeCoultre desk clock compendium which spins on the base displaying the time on one side and a barometer, temperature gauge and compass on the other. The clock comes in its original fitted case all stamped up by the renowned Swiss firm Jaeger-LeCoultre.

I would once again like to thank all of you who attended and made purchases from me at the LAPADA fair, your continued patronage is very much appreciated and I really was humbled by the many comments complimenting the stand at the fair, it makes all the hard work worth it.
