With our latest announcement that we are attending the LAPADA fair at Berkeley Square, London, we have started to pack for the end of the month. We are also pleased to confirm that tickets are now available through our exclusive stand link. The second half of the year has certainly been a busy one for us and one that has been full of celebration and excitement. First of all I wanted to let you all know that I finally got my knee dirty and proposed to my beautiful fiancé Kayleigh. Very little news would be able to top that of course but we might just have something which we are even more excited to announce. We are adding to the Jacksons Antique family as Kay and I are expecting our first child in February 2025. With everything happening all at once we managed to celebrate across the pond to enjoy our last vacation together before two become three, oh and we had a quick five minutes to attended another wedding back home in the UK with bump in tow.
That brings us onto the Autumnal season and our latest Jacksons Antique newsletter, we have added a few new select pieces to the website this month in anticipation for the LAPADA fair. Our absolute favourite has to be this sweet Georgian Papier-mâché snuff box with incredibly executed scenes dating to George III circa 1790.
We also would like to highlight our very impressive Japanese Komai Iron Charger which we believe is in unique form with a solid black ground featuring two repousse dragons with gold plated copper tendrils and the traditional komai damascene gold and silver inlay to the centre. The charger measures an impressive 45cm diameter (18 inches) and dates to the very early Showa period circa 1930.
Both of these objects will be available to view and purchase at LAPADA London along with a curated selection from our collection. We will be on stand A30C to the left of the entrance as you access the fair.
