Seikozan

Seikozan

Seikozan was an exceptional artist located in Kobe Japan’s seventh-largest city. Seikozan worked around the Meiji Period (1868-1912) and was a producer of fine satsuma wear from vases to plates. It has been speculated that several artists might have worked under this name from differences in the calligraphy of the mark, including the well-known artist in their own right, Meizan. There is little other information available on the artist and his work speaks for itself in production and quality.
