Tamura Cloisonne Company (1883-present)

Tamura (Tamura-Shippo) is a Japanese cloisonne company that is located in Shippo-cho, Ama City, Aichi Prefecture. The Tamura company have been producing cloisonne enamel since 1883. Through the Meiji Period (1868-1912), the Tashio Period (1912–26) and Showa Period (1926-1989) Tamura have toned their skills as craftsmen producing highly decorative contemporary pieces with vibrant colours.
