Our Petworth Park Fine Art & Antiques Fair

Our Petworth Park Fine Art & Antiques Fair

June 1st 2023

We are now a few weeks on since we attended the Petworth Park Fine Art & Antiques Fair within the spectacular surroundings of Petworth House and Park. The venue was stunning, and the marquee was located between the house and the lake on the grounds.

The fair was hosted by The Antiques Dealers Fair Limited, headed by Ingrid Nilson, who set up the ADFL in 2003, hosting many events in multiple locations over the years. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather, with blue skies and sunshine every day at the fair.

We set the fair up easily; we had plenty of unloading space, and it was a joy to set up. It was our first time in a marquee setting and I must admit it just works for our business, it feels very personal and feels unique. Other than the slightly uneven floor, which didn’t help our Atmos clocks, we were extremely pleased with the look and atmosphere.

Over the long weekend, we were met with a warm welcome from dealers and members of the public. As newcomers to the fair, it was very difficult to gauge the footfall and whether or not our stand would do well in the already established fair. Well, we can honestly say that we were extremely pleased with the outcome of meeting a host of new clients and many regular clients who came to visit us and make purchases. We had great success in our Oriental Antiques Collection and sold several Satsuma Vases, some of which we have featured below, along with a Padlock clock. We had sales across the board, including for porcelain, clocks, and Asian art. The success guaranteed our comeback to the fair, and we are pleased to announce that we will be standing in 2024. Callum would like to offer his personal thanks to everyone who purchased during the fair, and we hope to see you all in 2024.
