Antique Chinese Ceramics

In our Antique Chinese Ceramics collection, we offer a diverse selection of Chinese ceramics ranging from the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) through the Qing dynasty (1644-1912) and ending at the Republic of China ROC (1912-1949).

Dating back over a thousand years, Chinese porcelain reached its peak during the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, with each period contributing distinct styles and innovations. Key characteristics include the use of fine white clay (kaolin), which gives porcelain its delicate yet durable quality, and vibrant glazes like the iconic blue-and-white designs from the Ming dynasty. Techniques such as underglaze painting, celadon glazing, and famille rose enamelling became hallmarks of Chinese porcelain.

Our collection at Jacksons Antique includes a curated selection of Ceramics covering all corners of the Chinese market, including domestic and export wares, from blue and white to famille verte, famille rose, canton, and monochrome, to mention a few. Our range includes everything from plates and dinnerware to vases, objects, and figures, with each piece meticulously potted and hand-painted with the finest details.
