The Antique Swiss Black Forest Dog carved realistically as a St. Bernard dog relaxed lying down with its head resting. The figure carved from a single piece of wood beautifully sculptured with a naturalistic look complete with glass eyes and collar. The carving encapsulating the true look of a St. Bernard with flowing fur and beautifully carved paws, a very desirable and collectable carving from the so called Black Forest. The sculpture dating to the late 19th century to the early 20th century circa 1900.
