Late 19th century Japanese boxwood carving of a seated male street vendor. Extensively detailed wood carving, the seated man full of positive expression holding a crafting tool whilst carving a vase on a small stand. To the side a second completed vase stands on display. The figure upon a naturalistic carved dark brown wooden base. To the underneath an old collectors sticker lays illegible to the centre.
