20th century bronze horse head hanging memorial trophy plaque signed and mounted upon an octagonal wooden burr plaque. To the base a metal plaque reads ‘’Coronation Stakes 1938 Jockey J Salisse Presented by trainer C Harper.’ Bronze cast by sculpture artist Chode. The winning horse of the Coronation stakes in 1938 named Solar Flower cropped at the shoulders cast in high relief showing great realistic detail throughout with the reins and bit fitted through the horses mouth, mane in full flow.
Condition: Very good, rubbing to some parts.
