Description
Fine Chinese silver basket (bon-bon dish/bridal basket). The presentation basket of circular form expertly crafted with spigs of blossoming flowers to the outer boarder housing four stylised oval cartouche scenes featuring bamboo, chrysanthemums, iris flowers and, a dragon amongst clouds. The basket upon a tapered trumpet style base of round form. Signed to the underneath with WH for expert silversmith Wang Hing (1854-1941). The quality of this basket speaks for itself in the images and is one of the best that we have owned, it would be a fantastic addition to any silver collection, a practical gift or a lovely piece for an Asian art collector.
