Description
French art nouveau silver plated seal figure. The figure with a marble base carved as a rocky outcrop with the seal holding its head aloft with its four flippers bracing itself on the ground. The figure with silver plating throughout upon a bronze base metal, signed to the left-hand side rear flipper M. Migneaux. The figure dating to the late art nouveau period circa 1910. The seal is in great condition overall with some slight wear to the front of the silver plating where you can see the base metal through in some spots due to wear consistent with age.
