Circular Silver Box with Paillons Silver and Enamel with a Floral Plaque by Bruno Corsari
From our silver collection, we are pleased to present this Italian Mid-Century Modern silver and enamel circular box. Made in 1967, the box is hallmarked Italian silver 925 by Franco Salimbeni (FL 391 star) and dates to the 20th-century Mid-Century Modern period (1945-1969).
The circular form is decorated in alternating silver-gilt and deep blue enamel panels using the traditional paillons technique, giving a refined drum-like appearance. The lid is set with a hand-painted enamel plaque depicting a vibrant still life of flowers, signed by Bruno Corsari.
Opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior, the box retains its original warm finish, enhancing its appeal for both collectors and decorative use. This piece highlights the close collaboration between master silversmith Franco Salimbeni and artist Bruno Corsari, combining fine Italian silver work with detailed enamel artistry.

Franco Salimbeni
is a world renowned enamelling manufacture company founded in Florance Italy and are known for their extremely high quality enamel objects. The company have supplied Tiffany, Cartier and Gucci over their 130 year history and still produce highly sought after enamel work using traditional methods today.
