Who were JAEGER-LECOULTRE?
Jaeger LeCoultre was founded in 1833 in the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland, by Antoine LeCoultre. The company became known for its precision engineering and in house manufacturing, producing both movements and complete timepieces.
In 1937, the partnership between LeCoultre and the Paris based watchmaker Edmond Jaeger led to the formation of Jaeger LeCoultre, combining technical expertise with refined design. The firm went on to supply movements to many of the leading European watch and clock makers.
During the early 20th century, Jaeger LeCoultre produced a range of clocks and watches that reflected the clean lines and geometric forms of the Art Deco period.
