Description
Fine early Meiji 19th century satsuma bottle vase. Extensively decorated with fine detail the vase of bottle form with large globular body and long thin stem neck. The top lip with greek key style gilt boarder flowing into a diagonal ribboned effect with honeycomb borders, flowers and scroll work. The bodies with two scenes showing elders with multiple boy figures to one side with the other with a female figure with further boys. The scenes surrounded by further boarders with turquoise, red and black colours.
Measurements: 14.6cm High x 8.5cm Wide
Condition: Excellent – no damage, no restoration.
