Description
Japanese Meiji period satsuma Kogo in the form of a drum. The earthenware Kogo decorated with mountainous landscape scenes to the exterior with multiple simulated roundels to the top and bottom with handles to each side making the drum. Throughout the roundels a link of greek key style decoration in black and gold colour. When removing the lid a hidden flower sits to the underside. Signed to the base with a two character mark reading Izumiyama 泉山.
Measurements: 6.5cm High x 8.5cm Wide x 8cm Deep
Condition: Excellent, very minor gilt rub.
