Muller Frères cameo glass landscape vase. The cylindrical vase small in side, decorated with multiple coloured layers with landscape scenes of trees within a mountainous region. Signed Muller Freres Luneville in black to the lower half of the vase.
Lot Notes: Muller Frères was an renowned French glassmaking company based in Luneville, France. The firm were famous for their iconic Art Nouveau vases, lampshades, and chandeliers which often incorporate layered and coloured glass. Their workshop was established by Henri Muller and his brothers circa. 1895 after they trained with Émile Gallé who would retain a grudge against Muller for setting up a rival enterprise. In 1910, the company began making lamps in association with Chapelle. The business finally closed down shortly after production was stopped in 1933 due to the Great Depression.
