Description
Sevres 19th century porcelain circular plaque. The plaque of large form extensively decorated with a central romantic scene with a couple laying amongst foliage and flowers alongside a small lake with a sheep and dog beside them. To the outside gilt decoration with jewelled accents and beautifully designed scrolling patterns painted after Léonard Abel Schilt. The plaque marked on the back with the interlaced blue L Sevres mark. The porcelain encased within a gilt gesso frame with heightened scrollwork to the top and bottom.
Notes | Gesso, is a wooden frame that has applied ornamentation and detail made from a moulded chalky, plastery white material.

Condition | Excellent, porcelain without damage or restoration. One missing jewel from below the signature and minor glaze dirt around the outside of the porcelain (in the blue boarder). Frame in good original condition with minor losses most noticeable to the top bow.
