    From out Silver category, we are delighted to offer this Bi-metal Silver and Gold Cigarette Case. The Cigarette Case of rectangular form with an engine turned simulated wave border with central alternating strips of rose Gold, engine turned decoration and applied yellow gold. The box with a thumb tab located on the front of the lid for ease of opening. When opened the box reveals a Silver Gilt interior with an inscription below a crown and monogram with the letter A within an anchor. The inscription reads Till Prins Axel från hans mycket tillgifne vån Helge (To Prince Axel from his very affectionate neighbour Helge) dated to the lower left corner 1/5/1921. The case is stamped to the inside lip which is visible when opened 888 continental Silver.


    Notes Prince Axel of Denmark (Prins Axel Christian Georg til Danmark 1888-1964) was a member of the Danish royal family. He was the second son of Prince Valdemar of Denmark and Princess Marie of Orléans, and a grandson of King Christian IX of Denmark. Prince Axel was a very popular figure of Denmark and a great patron of sports and business. He was a prominent International Olympic Committee member and activist and also a business executive being a member of the Board and for some time Chairman of the Board of the SAS, Scandinavian Airlines System. In 1963, Prince Axel became the first honorary member of the IOC in history.
