Cartier suede notebook with silver mounts circa 1920. The notebook of petit form silver mounted with a brown suede base delicately made complete Cartier logo to the inside bottom left. The interior fitted with pockets to the left and right and a pencil loop to the edge holding the original silver propelling pencil stamped with the makers initials. The notebook is fitted with the original paper interior which slides into the right side of the notebook and comes with the original fitted box. Accompanying the notebook a letter stating that the notebook was given as a present to a family member in 1929 after its owner passed away.

Cartier has a long history of sales to royalty. King Edward VII referred to Cartier as “the jeweller of kings and the king of jewellers.”For his coronation in 1902, Edward VII ordered 27 tiaras and issued a royal warrant to Cartier in 1904. Similar warrants soon followed from the courts of Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Russia and the House of Orléans.
