    Description

    Japanese Meiji period satsuma sleeve vase by Hasegawa 長谷川作. The vase modelled as a single bamboo cane with simulated wood split to the top opening and ribbed section through the top third. The exterior decorated with a highly desirable continuous scene with a bamboo farm having figures carrying supplies and bamboo parcels in both the foreground and the background. The vase surrounded with a boarder of shippo-tsunagi (linked cash) and signed to the base with the Hasegawa Sei seal.
