Unique Black Forest MirrorÂ
Fine and exceptionally rare Black Forest carved bear mirror. The mirror of exceptional size and detail with four large size bears climbing around the frame. Each bear with humorous expressions, two bears stand on all fours holding the top carved border, one facing forward showing its teeth and smiling while the other poses focusing on its opposite. The other two bears bracing the mirror stood up on two feet matching the other bears with one facing forward and the other towards the top right hand corner bear. The bevelled mirror surrounded by carved simulated oak leaves with an acorn to the 6 o’clock position. A truly incredible piece of Black Forest and very rare featuring four nearly full-size bears. A perfect item to add to any Black Forest collection or to decorate a room with a serious statement piece.

Condition
Very Good, One bear with a spilt across its eye with missing glass eye. The mirror with some minor blemishes beneath the glass (see last photos)
